Hi- I’m Roberta, owner of Fido’s Fiber. I am a spinner (make my own yarn), and enjoy many fiber arts (knitting, weaving, etc).
I spin all types of animal fiber but one of my specialities is creating one of a kind yarn from cherished pets, mainly dogs and cats. If you are interested in custom yarn from your pet, please see “the process page” for particulars. I can take the animals fur, spin into yarn and/or use the yarn to create a beautiful memorial item of your pet. Please contact me for any questions you might have.
I also make custom yarn from other animals as well so feel free to ask if you have a project in mind. When the Farmer's Market season is finished, I will have items on the website for sale. If you are interested in seeing something I've made, or any of the yarns I have, please send a message if you can't make it to one of the markets. 2022 Farmer's Markets and other events:
Please bring a sample of your dog or cat's fur for me to see if you want to have something made. I plan to attend Coventry, and Ellington and possibly some new farmer's markets this year. I will add dates as events are confirmed. Scheduled events for 2023
